Investment Associate
Inuka is working with a leading private equity firm in the infrastructure and energy sector in Cape Town, South Africa. They are seeking an Investment Associate with at least 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or M&A advisory, with a focus on infrastructure and project finance. The role involves conducting research, financial analysis, and supporting portfolio management. Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive research on financial markets, industry sectors, and specific investment opportunities.
- Analyze macroeconomic trends, company financials, and market data to identify potential investment themes and opportunities.
- Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events that may impact investment decisions.
Due Diligence:
- Perform thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including company evaluations, competitive analysis, and risk assessments.
- Review and analyze financial statements, valuation models, and other relevant data to assess the feasibility and attractiveness of investments.
- Collaborate with investment team members to evaluate investment strategies and make informed recommendations.
Financial Modelling and due diligence:
- Project finance-based modelling.
- Due diligence analysis on potential projects and investments.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the investment team and other departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovative ideas.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or in a relevant area.
