Overview:
Inuka is working with a global energy group leading the energy transition, innovation, and sustainability. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, form strategic partnerships, and promote solutions for revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- With a focus on assigned new markets and utility scale or wind projects, originate, source, and develop new business opportunities within the company and ensure these opportunities are pursued to their maximum potential, in collaboration with local BD teams where applicable.
- Perform market analysis to understand potential and pipeline of company markets, with demonstrated understanding of permits and licensing processes, as well as any relevant local knowledge for the development of greenfield projects.
- Source and develop strong external relationships with key stakeholders in new markets.
- Establish knowledge of local networks (including EPC vendors, financial institutions among others) involved in the end-to-end process.
- Support pre-investment project evaluation, including interfacing with various parties (e.g., technical team, financing team, and project developer), and conducting site visits/meetings where required.
- Prepare and present business case and investment recommendation analysis per company requirements.
- Further to front end business engagements and leads development, perform early-stage project management as required – such as leading the interface between the internal team and business partners through the early execution phase of the project and ensure project execution is being conducted per expectation.
- Coordinate with project developers, internal teams such as E&C, and authorities for the development and execution of projects.
