ESG Specialist
Inuka is working with a renewable energy company to bring on an ESG Specialist in Paris, France.
Responsibilities
Due Diligence & Investment Support
- Lead E&S due diligence on new investments in infrastructure sectors (renewables, energy, digital, etc.)
- Identify and assess E&S risks and opportunities aligned with internal policies and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles)
- Work closely with investment teams to integrate E&S considerations into deal structuring and investment committee materials
Portfolio Monitoring & Engagement
- Support E&S risk monitoring across portfolio companies
- Review and analyse E&S reporting from portfolio assets, including KPIs, audits, and incident tracking
- Engage directly with asset managers and operators to ensure continuous improvement in E&S performance
Reporting & Standards Compliance
- Support ESG reporting requirements to investors, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the firm’s sustainability disclosures, including climate-related risk reporting (e.g., TCFD)
- Monitor evolving ESG regulations in Europe and globally (CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy)
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in E&S or ESG roles within infrastructure, private equity, development finance, or ESG consulting
- Strong technical knowledge of E&S due diligence and international standards (e.g., IFC PS, ISO14001, GIIP)
- Background in sustainability, environmental engineering, development economics, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
