Asset Management Analyst
Inuka is partnering with an investment company focused on driving infrastructure development across Sub-Saharan Africa. To date, they have successfully guided 31 projects through to financial close. They are now seeking an Asset Management Analyst to join their team in Casablanca.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Legal team and Asset Manager to finalise investment terms, agreements, and contracts with project stakeholders, ensuring all terms align with financial objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the structuring of agreements, ensuring all parties’ roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Compile comprehensive asset management reports and develop a thorough understanding of the current project portfolio, identifying challenges, best practices, and valuable lessons learned.
- Monitor and report on essential Health, Safety, Environmental & Social (HSES) and Development Impact (DI) metrics. Collaborate with Sustainable Development Impact (SDI) and HSES teams to implement evaluation programs and other related initiatives.
- Lead efforts within the asset management team to interpret and analyse financial data, identify key financial drivers, and evaluate financial performance in line with project goals.
- Review annual plans, budgets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for projects under construction or operation. Identify and extract key variables for internal reporting and forecast funding disbursements to project companies.
- Review financing documents and EPC, O&M, and other key contracts to understand responsibility division, costs, and risks agreed upon by project parties. Monitor adherence to these agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure optimal project management and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in engineering, finance, or economics from a reputable institution.
- Advanced degree or certification in finance or project management is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in financial planning, investment analysis, or asset management within a fast-paced multinational environment.
- Experience working within the infrastructure sector.
- Strong familiarity with project finance and construction operations, and proficiency in evaluating project metrics and risks.
- Regional experience in Africa is beneficial, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex financial and operational frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong capability in data interpretation and financial modeling.
