The opportunity
Our client is a renewable energy independent power producer (IPP) seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical design, technical assessments, and grid integration across its wind project portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical feasibility assessments, due diligence, and technical design reviews.
- Oversee wind farm electrical systems, including collection networks, substations, and grid connections.
- Review electrical specifications, engineering drawings, and contractor proposals.
- Coordinate power system studies, grid compliance, and technical interfaces with utilities and suppliers.
- Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and support operational asset performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 7 years of electrical engineering experience, including 3+ years in renewable energy.
- Experience in utility-scale wind project design and execution.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, reticulation, substations, and grid infrastructure.
- Experience with AutoCAD, electrical design reviews, and power system studies.
- Strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
