The opportunity
Our client is a renewable energy IPP seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to manage engineering assessments, design reviews, and technical delivery across projects at various stages of development, construction, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical, hydrological, topographical, and civil engineering assessments.
- Identify project risks relating to foundations, drainage, roads, and structural design.
- Manage civil engineering due diligence, design reviews, and technical specifications.
- Support procurement processes and evaluate supplier and contractor proposals.
- Oversee implementation of civil designs during construction and support project close-out.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering and professional engineering registration or equivalent chartered status.
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience, including 3+ years in solar and wind energy.
- Experience in foundation design, geotechnical investigations, drainage, roads, or structural engineering.
- Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure design, CAD, and engineering modelling tools.
- Experience managing engineering deliverables and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent in English and French.
