The opportunity
Our client is a leading renewable energy developer recruiting a Head of Business Development based in Malaysia. This role will drive project origination, strategic partnerships, and commercial execution across the renewable energy portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and project origination activities.
- Build relationships with utilities, regulators, customers, and partners.
- Identify new market opportunities and growth strategies.
- Support commercial negotiations and transaction execution.
- Work closely with development, technical, and finance teams.
- Lead and mentor the business development function.
Requirements
- 10+ years of business development experience in renewable energy.
- Strong track record originating utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and partnerships.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
