The opportunity
Our client is a specialist investment and advisory firm recruiting an Environmental & Social Specialist based in India. This role will support ESG due diligence, risk management, and compliance across a diverse investment portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental and social due diligence for investment projects.
- Assess ESG risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support compliance with international lender and ESG standards.
- Monitor portfolio performance and environmental reporting.
- Engage with clients, consultants, and project teams on E&S matters.
- Contribute to ESG policy development and implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of environmental and social management experience.
- Experience applying IFC Performance Standards and international ESG frameworks.
- Background in infrastructure, energy, or climate investments preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
