The opportunity
Our client is a renewable energy IPP seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering design and project execution, with a focus on mechanical systems and substructures for utility-scale solar PV projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering due diligence.
- Evaluate mechanical and substructure solutions for project sites.
- Support mechanical design development, technical specifications, and supplier evaluations.
- Review engineering documentation, technical proposals, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams.
- Support construction monitoring, testing, commissioning, and project close-out.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, including structural analysis and project environments.
- Experience in structural analysis, AutoCAD, and mechanical testing.
- Exposure to utility-scale solar PV project design and execution.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience with CFD analysis or FEM modelling is advantageous.
