The opportunity
Our client is a renewable energy company developing and operating utility-scale renewable energy projects. The Electrical Engineer will support technical design and engineering activities from project development and structuring through construction, commissioning, and handover.
Responsibilities
- Support technical assessments, due diligence, and electrical design for wind projects.
- Review technical documentation, contracts, grid connection requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate engineering designs, supplier documentation, and technical procurement requirements.
- Work with project teams, utilities, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and construction quality.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
- Ensure technical and contractual requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of electrical or electromechanical engineering experience, including 3+ years in renewable energy and 4+ years in project environments.
- 3+ years of distribution and reticulation design experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, electrical reticulation systems, high-voltage networks, and substations.
- Experience in utility-scale wind project design and execution.
- Strong understanding of energy project contracts and utility interfaces.
- Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites as required.
