The opportunity
Our client is an international energy company seeking a Data Management Lead to establish and maintain enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, improve data quality, and support data-driven decision-making across global operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Establish data ownership and accountability across business units.
- Lead data quality improvement, standardisation, and remediation initiatives.
- Oversee data catalogues, master data management, and data lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with digital, technology, and analytics teams to improve data infrastructure and AI readiness.
- Build data literacy and report on governance maturity to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks in complex, multinational organisations.
- Strong knowledge of master data management, data quality, and data governance tools.
- Experience in the energy or renewables sector is advantageous.
- Fluent in English.
