The opportunity
Our client is a leading renewable energy IPP looking to recruit a Contracts Manager based in Cape Town. The role will oversee contract administration, support negotiations, and ensure effective management of contractual and commercial matters across projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage contracts across renewable energy projects from development through operations.
- Lead contract administration, compliance, and contractual reporting.
- Support negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and project partners.
- Manage claims, variations, and other contractual matters.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Work closely with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of contracts or commercial management experience.
- Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or an IPP environment.
- Strong knowledge of EPC, O&M, PPA, or other project agreements.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
