The opportunity
Our client is a leading investment advisory firm focused on Africa, seeking an Associate based in Nairobi. The role will support transaction execution across M&A and financial advisory mandates, working closely with senior team members and clients across East Africa.
Responsibilities
- Support M&A and corporate finance transactions across the full execution lifecycle.
- Build financial models, valuations, and transaction analysis.
- Conduct market, sector, and company research to support new opportunities.
- Prepare pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and other client materials.
- Support due diligence, data room management, and transaction processes.
- Assist with client and counterparty engagement and transaction negotiations.
- Work closely with senior team members and international offices.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting transactions from due diligence through to execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Interest in African markets and East African transactions preferred.
